An array of food is found at this establishment which features an impressive smorg. Fresh made soups, sandwiches and salads are made from scratch. A deli is also onsite where customers can purchase specialty groceries and local meats and cheeses.

The Smorgasbord exists to provide ethical, healthy, local meals as well as fair trade gifts from developing economies around the world. We specialize in seasonal salads, soups and feature lunches as well as the best sandwiches available anywhere. We are well-known for our delicious gluten-free breads and other baking. Anita won the 2011 Best Pie Award from the Kamloops Farmers’ Market.

We provide a free meeting space for community-minded groups such as the Council of Canadians and Philosophers’ Cafe and proudly support local artisans.

The Smorgasbord won the 2009 United Way Community Service Award. Dalton & Anita won the 2006 YM/YWCA Peacemaker of the Year Award and the City of Kamloops Grass Roots Award in 2008.
