Next Steps
Whether you’re new to Gateway, a new believer a long-time attendee or just figuring out what it means to follow Jesus we want you to take the next step in your spiritual journey. For many, the first step is to simply Belong.
Belong
I’m still figuring out the God / Jesus / Church thing. What do I do?
Before Jesus ever asked anyone to believe, he invited them to belong. His first disciples followed him, heard his teaching, were witnesses to his miracles and discovered who he was before they ever put their faith in him.
At Gateway, we want to give you permission to belong – to figure out what it means to follow Jesus – before we ask you to believe. Come to the weekend services, participate in our ministries, attend a Life Group, even volunteer to help out: we’re just glad you’re here!
We’re hoping to start a Life Group for people who are just beginning their faith journey. Keep checking here for more info!
Believe
I’m a follower of Jesus, but I’m new to church / Gateway. What do I do?
Eventually Jesus called his followers to believe – to put their faith in him. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) By believing, followers of Jesus are assured that their sins have been forgiven and that they have received eternal life.
Your faith will be strengthened when you come to our weekend services, participate in a Life Group and volunteer at the church. We even have a course called “Gateway 101” to help you get to know us better (watch our event page for more details).
But it doesn’t end there! Because Jesus also works in us to BECOME all that he designed us to be.
Become
I’m a Jesus-follower and Gateway is my home church. Now what?
Following Jesus is an adventure! When we believe, the Holy Spirit lives in us and begins to change our perspective, our focus and even our priorities.
One of the ways we can begin to become who God intended is to discover more about him. Attending our weekend services is a start, but plugging into a Life Group and serving in the church will also help you grow. And there’s nothing like inviting others to inspire your faith!
