After  spring strawberry picking in Langley there was a small break before the  tree planting season. The Yale County Jug Band would hitch to Kamloops  and “hole up” in Kelly’s Mom’s basement with homemade liquor and drum  tobacco. As none of the members of the band are able to read or write,  the way they passed the time was by writing songs for the lovers of  summers past. Now, as time moves on, the YCJB wants to share those songs  and memories of sweet hippie cowboy love with you. If you breath deep  when you listen you might even still smell the drum tobacco and pine  trees.

Justin Bentley will open the show with a Drive by Truckers Tribute set.

The Effie Arts Collective is Kamloops’ newest venue offering a place for the community to gather together and experience “Collective Effervescence” – a sociological phenomenon where members of an audience experience the same feeling at the same time while watching a live performance like a comedy show, concert, or play.
