Outer Mara Ramble - Kamloops Trails

Outer Mara Ramble – Kamloops Trails

AS the hills dry out in early spring we often hike in the lower Mt. Mara – Tranquille Hills in spring.    On a late March day we started at the Mara Trail then hiked up the Pruden Pass Road to do the Mara Outer Trail Loop.

The Outer Loop follows an old double track up a sandy hill to a higher viewpoint of the area, well worth the extra effort.

From the viewpoint we hike east to pick up the Pruden Pass Road, then the Mara Trail, continuing in a clockwise loop route.   There are two more viewpoints on the trail.
