Harper Mountain Trails - Kamloops Trails

Harper Mountain Trails – Kamloops Trails

On the day before our hike on Harper Mountain, there was rain, fog, and overcast skies.    On the day of the hike, as we drove up, we went through a fog layer but broke through and parked in sunny conditions at one of the lower trailheads.

The trail network on Harper Mountain is well-organized, with parking, signage and many trail choices.     We hiked mostly bike trails, but in the off-season, being sure to hike up the climbing trails.

We followed the ridge up above the fog below, winding up through a few open spots, but mostly on forested single tracks.

On the upper part of the mountain we switched to cross-country ski and snowshoe routes.

There are many route options.    I chose to come back by the main double track for an 8.9 km hike.

During the peak season, hikers can leave the mountain to the mountain bikers, but in the off-season, there are many good trails to explore.
