TRU Williams Lake campus remains open at this time

WILLIAMS LAKE — 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 22 — While portions of Williams Lake are under an evacuation alert due to a wildfire burning in River Valley, the Thompson Rivers University campus remains open at this time.

The City of Williams Lake has declared a local state of emergency in response to the wildfire. TRU is closely monitoring the situation. Our utmost priority is the safety and well-being of faculty, staff and students. We urge all members of the TRU Williams Lake community to stay informed and vigilant by following news updates from the City of Williams Lake. Please be prepared to act quickly should the situation change.
