Concert 1: A Rockin’ Merry Christmas!

Conductor: Steve Powrie and featuring special guest artist, Cal Lewis Lundgren, on guitar

Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 7:00pm
Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 3:00pm

Join us for a Rockin’ Merry Christmas concert featuring music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra! If you haven’t heard of them before, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra meshes traditional orchestral music with a rock-band vibe, creating an energetic and totally cool (if we do say so ourselves!) Christmas concert experience.

If you haven’t heard of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, you’re in for a treat! And no, they’re not Russian – they’re American and they’re all about marrying orchestral music with good old rock ’n roll. They’re ranked on Billboard and Pollstar as one of the top twenty-five ticket-selling banks in the first decade of the millennium and now you can see them – in the guise of the TVO – here at home in Kamloops. Guitarist Cal Lewis Lundgren is joining us to make it a very special evening of Christmas music you won’t soon forget.

Choose Saturday, December 3 at 7:00pm or Sunday, December 4 at 3:00pm. Get your tickets at the door or in advance through Eventbrite.

In September 1960, Kamloops Full Gospel Tabernacle was birthed. A few families, united by a belief in the unfailing grace of God and in the evidence of the Pentecostal experience, began to pray together in homes until God proved Himself faithful. Miracles began to happen and growth came. A vibrant ministry to children quickly developed, becoming the largest part of this early church. Following shortly behind, a dynamic youth ministry emerged along with ministry to families.

Ever since those initial days in 1960, emphasis has been given to the Word of God and to prayer, praise & worship, team ministry and the equipping of the saints.

Today we continue to be a church family that believes in the presence and power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Kamloops Full Gospel Tabernacle is a Spirit-filled, community-based church with a unique blend of people from every walk of life.  Through biblical instruction and lifestyle we desire to:

  • Communicate God’s love and acceptance,
  • Demonstrate practical avenues of evangelistic outreach,
  • Model scriptural standards of pastoral feeding and care,
  • Provide prophetic insight into the church’s destiny, and
  • Implement teaching within the local church to equip all the saints for the work of the ministry.
