OTTAWA —While Pierre Poilievre’s cut-and-gut Conservatives voted against funding for services Canadians rely on, the NDP is delivering results that will make life easier and more affordable for Canadians.
This parliamentary session, New Democrats used their power to secure dental care that will save millions of Canadian families around $1,300, anti-scab legislation so workers can fight for better wages and work conditions and a For Indigenous, By Indigenous housing Centre to build affordable homes for First Nations, Métis and Inuit away from their home communities.

In the last month, the Conservatives have voted against a school lunch program for hungry kids, a suicide prevention hotline for Canadians in crisis, funding for more affordable housing amid a housing crisis, and funding for emergency shelter for women and girls fleeing violence.
“Canadians are exhausted. They’re playing by the rules, doing everything they can to get by, but feel they’ve been let down by Justin Trudeau’s Liberals over the last eight years,” said Singh. “And Poilievre is not the answer—he prefers to give away billions in tax cuts to wealthy CEOs, while cutting the services hardworking people need.
