Weill, Lewis & Glenn named KIJHL November 3 Stars

Tristan Weill (Kimberley Dynamiters), Sam Lewis (Kamloops Storm) and Nate Glenn (Columbia Valley Rockies) have been selected as the Hudl Instat Kootenay International Junior Hockey League 3 Stars of the Month for November.

Weill – Top Forward – The West Kelowna product helped the Dynamiters win seven of their nine games as he scored 11 goals and added nine assists in nine games. In a 5-0 win over Creston Valley on Nov. 4, Weill scored the winner and collected three assists. On Nov. 7 against Golden, Weill scored a hat-trick, including the winner, in a 6-2 victory. Four days later against Golden again, Weill netted a hat-trick, including the winner, in a 7-4 victory. On Nov. 17, he enjoyed a four-point performance against his former team, the Summerland Steam in a 7-0 win. And against the Revelstoke Grizzlies on Nov. 25, Weill scored the winner and added two assists in a 4-3 victory. Weill leads the KIJHL with 55 points in 26 games and has 29 goals. He’s set a new career high in goals and points, as he surpassed his career high of 53 over the weekend.

Lewis – Top Defenceman – The hometown product helped the Storm win seven of its 10 games with four goals and seven assists for 11 points and a plus-eight rating. On Nov. 10 against Osoyoos, Lewis had three assists in a 7-1 win, then on Nov. 11 against Chase, Lewis had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win. His next multi-point game came against Spokane, in which he had a goal and three points in a 6-3 win on Nov. 24. Lewis is second on the Storm with 21 points in 24 games and his 10 goals are second on the team.

Glenn – Top Goalie – The Cary, N.C. product helped the Rockies earn three of their five November wins and had two OT losses as he stopped 178 of 188 shots for a 1.96 goals against average and a .947 save percentage. On Nov. 3, Glenn stopped 39 shots in a 2-1 win over Nelson, and had another 39-save performance in a 4-1 win over Kimberley on Nov. 10. He stopped 37 shots in a 2-1 OT loss to Kamloops on Nov. 18 and had a 35-save performance in a 4-3 OT loss to Fernie on Nov. 25. Glenn has nine wins in 17 games this season with a .938 SP (second in the KIJHL) and a 2.12 GAA that ranks fifth.
