Alberta Wildfire has added a nighttime firefighting helicopter to its fleet, signing a 5-year contract after trying out the helicopter in 2022. “If the rollout’s successful in Alberta, other fire management agencies across Canada will be looking at it to see the lessons learned…,” says wildfire expert Dr. Mike Flannigan.
