Art collection exhibition – TRU Newsroom

Artwork from the TRU Permanent Art Collection are available for public spaces across TRU.

The exhibition is open Tuesday, Sept. 12 to Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the TRU Art Gallery.

If you are interested in displaying one or more pieces from the exhibition in your dept or reception area, please contact Terryl Atkins at [email protected] for more information and your choice.

Restrictions may apply depending on conditions such as traffic congestion, security or exposure to direct sunlight.

Background

Through a generous fund from TRU each year select artworks by graduating visual arts students are purchased for the collection.

There are currently around 300 works in the collection, with 140 installed throughout the public spaces on campus.

Length of time for borrowing from the collection can be anywhere from two years up to eight years.
