In the upcoming season, IBEW 993 will be once again sponsoring the Kamloops Storm’s Shoot to Win contest.

In a show of community support, IBEW 993 is thrilled to announce their participation in helping the Kamloops Storm Hockey team.

The donation was made as part of IBEW 993’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the local community and promoting the well-being of its residents. Recognizing the Junior A hockey team’s dedication to fostering athletic talent and sportsmanship among young athletes, IBEW 993 saw this as an opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the team.

IBEW 993 represents a diverse group of skilled electrical workers who play an integral role in the development and maintenance of the community’s infrastructure. The union has a long-standing tradition of engaging with various charitable organizations and community projects, consistently demonstrating its dedication to supporting initiatives that enrich the lives of local residents.

With this donation, IBEW 993 aims to help the Kamloops Storm in its pursuit of excellence both on and off the ice. The funds will be used to support essential team expenses, such as equipment purchases, travel costs, training facilities, and other operational needs. This assistance is expected to contribute significantly to the team’s ability to compete at the highest level and achieve their goals during the upcoming season.

“IBEW 993 takes great pride in being an active member of the Kamloops community,” said Jim Bicknell, Business Manager of IBEW 993. “We recognize the importance of fostering the growth and development of local sports teams like the Kamloops Storm. This donation reflects our commitment to investing in the future of young athletes and providing them with the resources they need to succeed.”

The Kamloops Storm expressed its heartfelt gratitude to IBEW 993 for the generous donation. This donation will make a significant difference in our ability to train, compete, and continue promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among our youth.

This collaboration between IBEW 993 and the Kamloops Storm exemplifies the positive impact that partnerships between local unions and community organizations can have in fostering a strong and vibrant community spirit.

IBEW 993 Business Manager presented a cheque for $2500 to Kamloops Storm Hockey’s Matt Kolle on Tuesday.
