Canada’s NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh issued the following statement:

“Today, families and friends come together across Canada and the world to celebrate the dawn of a New Year, the year of the Rabbit. This year symbolizes a period of peace, self-reflection, and tranquility.

On this festive occasion, we are also reminded of Canada’s rich multicultural mosaic and the great many contributions Asian Canadians have made to our communities and country.

On behalf of Canada’s New Democrats, I extend my warmest wishes to all Asian Canadians.

May the Year of the Rabbit bring success, health, prosperity, and happiness in 2023.

Gong Hey Fat Choy.

Gong Xi, Gong Xi.

Chúc mừng năm mới.”
