Slow No Tempo’s Annual Singing Valentine Fundraiser Returns
The local a cappella quartet Slow No Tempo is resuming their annual tradition of spreading messages of love and caring throughout Kamloops with the 2023 edition of their Singing Valentines fundraiser. From 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on Valentine’s Day (Tuesday, February 14), Slow No Tempo will be traveling across Kamloops presenting recipients with the one-of-a-kind experience of four well-dressed gentlemen appearing to perform a special love song just for them, and present them with a flower and something sweet to eat.
A Singing Valentine is an excellent way to show that special someone in your life how much you care for them. Singing Valentines are also a fun way to let a parent, grandparent, sibling, cousin, friend, coworker, team member, etc. know that they are important to you.
Because the special people in our lives are not the only ones who deserve a little love, Slow No Tempo selects a different local charity each year to support with their fundraiser. The charity chosen for 2023 is the Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society. Established in 1972, the Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society provides culturally appropriate programs and inclusive services that meet the needs of urban Indigenous people to improve their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. All proceeds from the 2023 Singing Valentines will be donated to KAFS to assist them in empowering the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities of Kamloops and surrounding areas.
Singing Valentines will be delivered during the Morning (9:00 am to 12:30 pm), Afternoon (1:00 pm to 5:00 pm), and Evening (5:30 pm to 9:00 pm) time frames. Scheduling will be based on bookings, and the quartet cannot guarantee a delivery at a specific time. When placing an order, one can select the time frame they desire and also choose from two song options, Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling In Love With You or The Backstreet Boys’ I Want It That Way.
