All students, faculty and staff are invited to Speaking with Sports, a conversation with sports industry leaders Dan MacKenzie, Ron Robinson and Yves Lecasse.
This free event on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2:30 to 4 p.m., is initiated by the 2023 Memorial Cup Presented by Kia and in partnership with the Faculty of Adventure, Culinary Arts and Tourism. In addition to the panel, the Memorial Cup will be on hand for photo opportunities and you have a chance to win Blazers tickets.
Dan MacKenzie is a Canadian sports administrator and marketing executive, serving as president of the Canadian Hockey League since 2019. He was vice-president and managing director of the National Basketball Association of Canada from 2014 to 2019.
Ron Robison is a Canadian ice hockey executive, who has served as commissioner of the Western Hockey League since 2000. He previously worked in senior managerial roles for the Canadian Hockey association and Hockey Canada.
Yves Lecasse is the host organizing committee chair for the 2023 Memorial Cup being held in Kamloops. He has a rich work history as the chief of police in Kamloops, external affairs manager for KGHM and is now president and CEO with the Dawson Group.
