November 21, 2022 at 11:03 am  Kamloops, News, Sports

It’s the talk of the town in Kamloops, B.C., as we get closer and closer to the 2023 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Feb. 17-26 at the Sandman Centre.

But that excitement level will ramp up even further on Tuesday when single-draw tickets for the world’s most famous national women’s curling championship event go on sale, with Team British Columbia and Team Canada games in the schedule now locked in.

Even more exciting — Kerri Einarson’s three-time defending champion Team Canada will take on the newly crowned B.C. champs on the opening Saturday night, at 6 p.m. (all times Pacific). You can expect the “B.C.” cheers to be loud and proud in the Sandman Centre, and you need to act fast to be part of what should be a memorable night in Kamloops!

Round-robin single-draw ticket prices range from $20 to $35. Playoff and semifinal games are $35, and up to $40 for Sunday’s gold-medal final.  Youth under the age of 18 can attend Draws 1 through 18 for free with a paying adult. These tickets can only be purchased at the Sandman Centre box office. Youth tickets for all playoff games are $10.

While the rest of the matchups won’t be known until after provincial and territorial championships are complete, we now know when the home team and Team Canada will be on the ice for the round robin.
