Communities across Canada receiving more fed. funding in response to overdose crisis – July 20, 2022

Carolyn Bennett, the federal minister of mental health and addictions, visits a community housing project in Vancouver to announce nearly $40 million in funding for 73 projects across the country in response to the overdose crisis. The community-led projects are receiving the funding through Health Canada’s Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP). The minister is joined by Shane Pointe (Musqueam knowledge keeper), as well as PHS Community Services Society representatives
Micheal Vonn (CEO) and Duncan Higgon (senior housing manager).
