Ontario Premier Doug Ford unveils new cabinet – June 24, 2022

At a ceremony at Queen’s Park, Ontario Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Dowdeswell presides over the swearing-in of Premier Doug Ford and his new executive council. Ford’s Progressive Conservatives are remaining in government after the party won 83 of the legislature’s 124 seats in the June 2 provincial general election. Premier Ford will also serve as the minister as intergovernmental affairs. He has named new ministers for portfolios including health and citizenship and multiculturalism, and has also appointed a new solicitor general. The cabinet is also slightly expanded to 30 ministers. Following the ceremony Premier Ford makes remarks highlighting his government’s legislative priorities.
