June 2, 2022 at 8:11 pm  Federal, Politics

Steven Del Duca, the leader of the Liberal Party of Ontario, delivers an election-night address to supporters in Vaughan. He announces that he intends to step down as Liberal leader, after failing for the second consecutive provincial election to win his own seat. The Liberals were unable to secure official party status and won fewer seats than both the Progressive Conservatives, who will remain in government, and the NDP, who will once again form the official Opposition.
