Memorial marking one-year anniversary of discovery of unmarked graves in Kamloops, B.C.

A memorial is held at Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc Powwow Arbour in Kamloops, B.C., to mark the one-year anniversary of the discovery of over 200 unmarked graves at the site of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School. Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc Kukpi7 (Chief) Rosanne Casimir, Assembly of First Nations National Chief RoseAnne Archibald, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Governor General Mary Simon are among those in attendance at the day-long event.
