City of Toronto update on COVID-19 and vaccinations – January 25, 2022

January 25, 2022 at 9:18 am  Federal, Politics

In Toronto, Mayor John Tory, Dr. Eileen de Villa, Toronto’s medical officer of health, and Matthew Pegg, the general manager of Toronto’s Office of Emergency Management, provide an update on the city’s response to COVID-19, its vaccination campaign, and the spread of the Omicron variant. The mayor also announces the launch of Toronto’s 311 app for residents to access non-emergency municipal services. He and the other speakers face questions on the vaccination rate for children in the 5 to 11 age group and Ontario’s plan to start easing public-health restrictions on January 31.
