City of Kamloops EOC Update
Kamloops, BC – The City’s Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) was activated last night due to threats from two wildfires – the White Rock Lake Fire to the southeast of Kamloops and the Tremont Creek fire to the southwest of Kamloops.
At 9:55 pm last night, the risks from the White Rock Lake fire prompted an Evacuation Alert for the neighbourhoods of Barnhartvale, Campbell Creek, and Dallas. The situation this morning remains the same. No changes overnight.
The details of the Evacuation Alert can be found here https://www.kamloops.ca/
The EOC continues to be active this morning, monitoring information constantly and making critical decisions with the presence of key representatives from the City, Kamloops Fire Rescue, and RCMP – the team also receives regular updates from TNRD, BCWS and EMBC.
