Kamloops Arts Council launches its new Literary Artist Program

Kamloops Arts Council launches its new Literary Artist Program

February 9, 2021 at 11:19 pm  The Arts

Kamloops BC ~ The Kamloops Arts Council is proud to support all disciplines of art, art mediums and all artists, emerging or established. With that in mind, they are excited to announce the opening of our Literary Artist Program.

They are now hosting local authors’ books at the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre in the Kamloops Arts Council offices. Literary artists are encouraged to feature their books on the new bookshelf, made by local creative, Kyle Rankin from Makerspace. If you are a member of KAC, and have a book that you have published, they will be happy to promote and sell your work online and from the Old Courthouse.

Terri Hadwin, Executive Director of the Kamloops Arts Council notes, “it has been a goal for quite some time for us to establish this new initiative. Our mandate is to support all forms of art and this is another step in that direction.”

Newly appointed KAC Board Member, Toni McKilligan says, “I’m thrilled that the Kamloops Arts Council is launching the Literary Arts Program in support of local authors. This is a positive and welcome expansion of KAC’s already impressive contribution to the arts in Kamloops.”
