Title: Small Scale Ecoforestry: Guided by Ecosystems and Ecological Sciences with Origins in Forest Research and a Volcano

Speaker: Erik Piikkila, Forest and Watershed Ecologist at Boundary Forest Watershed Stewardship Society

Abstract: What do selective logging, old growth forest research and volcanic blasts say about forestry and ecosystems in BC? A lot, especially volcanoes. What lessons can we learn from and for ecosystems and forest management in BC in the face of mountain pine beetles, wildfires and climate change?
