Three must-see climbing films – TRU Newsroom

The one-night, climbing film festival known as Reel Rock returns to TRU with three inspiring short films.

In its 14th year, the festival is called Reel Rock 14.

This event is free, but pre-registration is recommended through the TRU AdventureU website.

This night is brought to you by TRU’s Students’ Union and the TRU AdventureU Club.

 

The films

The High Road—The powerful and bold Nina Williams tests herself on some of the highest, most-difficult boulder problems ever climbed.

United States of Joe’s— Climbers collide with a conservative coal mining community in rural Utah, and have surprising results.

The Nose Speed Record—Legends Tommy Caldwell and Alex Honnold battle Yosemite dirtbags Jim Reynolds and Brad Gobright in a high-stakes race for greatness.

Popcorn, bring a container

Popcorn is available by cash donation, and please bring a container for bottomless popcorn.
