Wil Mimnaugh’s shows have been coined ‘legendary’; his guitar style; ‘mesmerizing’; captivating listeners with his unusual strumming technique while creating lush, fat and full acoustic guitar sounds that have become signature to the enigmatic fiery, silver bearded frontman that heads up the west coast-based Indie folk rock outfit known as WiL and Company. The company includes his long-time drummer Keith Gallant and, on occasion, a roster of talented guest musicians.

Tales of this band’s legendary live show and songs like Travel Alberta’s soaring anthem ‘Roam’ paved the way to share floorboards with the likes of Feist, Matthew Good, Matt Andersen, Ray LaMontagne and many more.

WiL has just wrapped recording new music with musical compatriot, Leeroy Stagger and is slated for release this spring.

“Comparisons abound: John Mayer, Bob Iver…but let it be said that this Calgary-bred, Vancouver Island based artist has set his own standard for sensitive singer-song craft, helped by a series of gorgeous music videos by Travel Alberta. But to break the sensitive singer-songwriter stereotype, Wil Mimnaugh is decidedly unwimpy on stage – his website isn’t called ibreakstrings.com just because it sounds cool”

“The ease with which wiL explores a wide spectrum of themes and styles in his song writing shows a lifetime of fearless musicianship. His tunes are catchy but not overstated – a dynamic performer who effortlessly balances out moments of gritty intensity with moments so tender you swear you hear is heart beating through a microphone”
