Snowshoeing on Hull Hill - Kamloops Trails

Snowshoeing on Hull Hill – Kamloops Trails

Every year we snowshoe on the flanks of Hull Hill.    We have several routes that we return to do, and some new explorations too.    The main access area is a short drive down the Goose Lake Road.    A gate to a side road leads to a parking area for 5 – 6 vehicles, but parking on Goose Lake Road is also available with a short walk to the trailhead.    The main double track bears east.   After crossing Anderson Creek the tracks split with the main one bearing southwest, then south up the slopes of Hull Hill.

On this February day under the winter sun, we followed the double track to the end, then followed a new flagged route higher onto a forested side hill.    By checking mapping apps, we could see that the new trail linked to the Dogwood Marshes Trails, a route to be explored some more.

Our route for this day was 7.8 km taking about 2.5 hours.   For the most part we followed stomped-in trails so other snowshoers can follow our tracks.
