Let’s Talk! Have your say about KAMPLAN

Transition Kamloops  June 7, 2025 at 3:15 pm

The City of Kamloops is looking for your input on the Official Community Plan (KAMPLAN) at information sessions City staff are hosting this month.

The Province passed legislation in 2023 to require all municipalities to review and revise their Official Community Plans in order to address housing needs over the next 20 years and to plan for specific types of housing. Updating KAMPLAN, which was last revised in 2018, also allows the City to consider changes to infrastructure needed to support housing growth and the opportunity to engage residents about potential changes in their neighbourhoods.

Visit the KAMPLAN Let’s Talk page for the City’s proposed housing-related updates the plan, as well as a review of the five vision and 10 values statements originally developed for the 2018 plan. To learn more about the proposed changes and share your comments, attend one of the following engagement sessions (you are welcome to attend any session that fits your schedule):

We acknowledge the impact of colonization, forced displacement, and ongoing struggles faced by Indigenous peoples. We commit to listening, learning, and building positive relationships with Indigenous communities as we work towards reconciliation.
