Duffy Hill Ramble – Kamloops Trails
From the trailhead parking area on the Lac le Jeune Road (near the Sugarloaf Road intersection), we hiked up mountain bike trails around Duffy Hill. We all wore traction devices (microspikes) and carried poles.
Some sections are steep and slippery in winter, but we chose a winding route to the top.
Some of the north-aspect slope is dense with douglas fir trees, but there are also open slopes and good hiking.
At various points there are good views down into the valley. Near the top we also had views in every direction.
There is a network of trails and in winter it is sometimes hard to know which way to go. We know these trails well, but for anyone less familiar with the trails, carry a map or using a mapping app (see more information below).

We enjoy these trails in the shoulder seasons and, on occasion, in winter. In the main seasons we hike elsewhere, leaving the trails to mountain bikers. There are many trails in the area to enjoy.
