Doc Findlay Loop on the Snow

Doc Findlay Loop on the Snow

After two snowfalls, the hikes started to be on-the-snow trails.   We chose the Doc Findlay Loop in Kenna Cartwright Park for a short loop route under sunny skies.

There are a series of rocky hills with wide views along the eastern side of the trail.

At the northeast end are views up the North Thompson River Valley.

To the north the Lac du Bois Hills were in sunshine across the river.

To the northeast Mt. Paul and Peter and the Dome Hills were wreathed in sweeping clouds

This loop is about 3 km, but with the snow cover it took just over an hour to hike.
