The Kamloops Film Society and Kamloops Film Festival has advanced to the Voting Round for the Best of Kamloops 2023 in the categories of “Arts Company or Organization,” “Theatre Venue,” “Wine, Beer and/or Food Event,” and “Festival!” We are passionate about film, and have worked hard to provide quality entertainment at quality prices in Kamloops year round and especially during our various film festivals. 

The Best of Kamloops celebrates our city’s favourite businesses in a number of categories. These prestigious awards recognize the top performers who are making a positive impact in our community and celebrate their hard work and dedication with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.

We would greatly appreciate your support and votes (which won’t take more than 5 minutes), and we’ll see you at the movies! The voting period closes on May 12th at 3:00 pm. Vote for us for Best of Kamloops 2023!

Kamloops Film Society

The Kamloops Film Society is the umbrella organization that operates the Paramount Theatre and runs two main events: The Thursday Film Series and the annual March Kamloops Film Festival, which includes the Kamloops Independent Short Shorts Festival. The KFS has been operating for over 45 years and was officially incorporated under the BC Societies Act on August 17, 1994. In the spring of 2019, The Kelson Group purchased the Paramount Theatre and leased the venue to the KFS. The support of The Kelson Group and Ron Fawcett has made the venture possible as The KFS continues to make the theatre a cultural venue.
