Above Timber Lake – Kamloops Trails

In late winter we drove up the Timber Lake Road and parked at a junction on the southwest side of the communications tower hill.    There are many miles of double tracks, single tracks, old ski trails, and routes connecting to the Outer Inks and Chuwhels Mountain Trails.    Almost none of the routes are signed nor flagged and there are numerous junctions to figure out, but over time, we have developed loop routes.    At this time of the year, we were trying to follow boot tracks, snowmobile tracks, or snowshoe tracks, connecting known routes, but we did one section over the west side of the hill which had no tracks and had some more difficult conditions, but the rest of the route was perfect for a day of snowshoeing in the high forest.
