A Stake Snowshoe Loop - Kamloops Trails

A Stake Snowshoe Loop – Kamloops Trails

The snowshoe trails at Stake Lake make an enjoyable stomp through the woods in winter.    We chose to do a 2 hour loop, avoiding any larger hills.    We included one of the new trails near the end.

Tthe trails are well-marked and stomped in, but we ventured out on a day with some new snow on the trails.

There was some blue skies to the west as we rounded the edge of the marsh, following the Marsh Trail over to the Basalt Bluffs Trail.

The newer trails are open, but the signage is not yet ready and there is some brush that can be cleared too, but the trails are welcome additions to the Stake Lake trail system.    We are planning to return to go around the west side of Stake Lake, then head out on the Spruce Canyon and Cow Creek Trails.
