A Cold and Windy Day on Coal Hill
On a cold and windy day we hiked from Upper Aberdeen up to the top of Coal Hill. Wind chill was a factor in hiking at a steady pace and we did not linger on top of the hill. Our route to the top was about 3 km.
There was a bit of snow, but for the most part it was dry. Some images are shared here. Click an image for a lightbox view and a caption.
The view from the top of Coal Hill is a good one, but the wind chill on the open hilltop made the time there quite short.
We hiked this route three times this year. It can be done in less than 2 hours and on a day like this one, we were glad to be back out of the wind.
A video on the route was done earlier in the year and can be found on YouTube – Coal Hill Hike
