A group of Conservative MPs hold a press conference in Ottawa to comment on bills that have been introduced in Parliament in recent days.

Frank Caputo, MP for Kamloops—Thompson—Nicola and Conservative shadow minister for public safety, criticizes the ongoing Liberal attempt to pass Bill C-22 (Lawful Access Act) before the end of the current parliamentary session, and demands more time for the committee to review the second part of the bill.

Andrew Lawton, MP for Elgin–St. Thomas–London South, comments on the proposed Bill C-36 (Protecting Privacy and Consumer Data Act). He also criticizes the Liberals’ recent actions on trade negotiations and food affordability.

Billy Morin, MP for Edmonton Northwest, reacts to the proposed Bill C-23 (First Nations Clean Water Act). He criticizes the federal government’s slow progress on water safety efforts for First Nations communities, and demands a specific timeline of plans for improvement.
