BC NDP MLAs Choi, Arora, Kang, and Routledge say funding will support community services for people in Burnaby
BURNABY– BC New Democrat MLAs Paul Choi, Rohini Arora, Anne Kang and Janet Routledge say people in Burnaby will benefit from enhanced programs and community services as local non-profits receive Community Gaming Grants.
“This funding supports services designed to help people and make a real difference,” said Janet Routledge, MLA for Burnaby North. “Thank you to all of the non-profits that improve the quality of life for people in Burnaby.”
In Burnaby, almost 50 non-profits are receiving a total of $2,680,850. Local non-profits include:

D.S.R.F. Down Syndrome Research Foundation – $250,000

Burnaby Hospice Society – $111,000

Burnaby Neighbourhood House Society – $97,500

Dixon Transition Society – $60,500
“These organizations support people from all walks of life and help make Burnaby South-Metrotown a more caring and connected community,” said Paul Choi, MLA for Burnaby South-Metrotown. “From newcomer support and parent resources to childcare, youth programming, and cultural gathering places, Burnaby is well served by dedicated local service providers who make a real difference every day.”
“Burnaby’s non-profit organizations lift up so many people helping them navigate complex systems and build relationships essential to their well-being,” said Rohini Arora, MLA for Burnaby East. “I’m incredibly grateful we can support them in the vital work they do to build B.C.”
In 2025-2026, more than $56 million was distributed among 1,225 non-profit organizations through the Human and Social Services stream of the Community Gaming Grants program.
