How to Book

Accessibility devices are provided free of charge to patrons attending screenings at the Paramount Theatre.

A valid piece of photo ID is required to sign out a device and must be left with staff for the duration of the screening. ID will be returned once the device is checked back in after the film.

Devices are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be reserved in advance.

To request a device, please call the Paramount Theatre at least 1 business day in advance:
236-425-3456.

We strongly encourage patrons to call ahead to confirm availability for their screening. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your screening to ensure we have ample time to set you up with the device.

Borrowers provide one piece of government-issued photo ID and sign a device loan agreement. Optional refundable deposit or credit card authorization may apply. When booking, please have the following information ready:

  • Your name on ID
  • The film title
  • Screening date and time

Kamloops Film Society

The Kamloops Film Society is the umbrella organization that operates the Paramount Theatre and runs two main events: The Thursday Film Series and the annual March Kamloops Film Festival, which includes the Kamloops Independent Short Shorts Festival. The KFS has been operating for over 45 years and was officially incorporated under the BC Societies Act on August 17, 1994. In the spring of 2019, The Kelson Group purchased the Paramount Theatre and leased the venue to the KFS. The support of The Kelson Group and Ron Fawcett has made the venture possible as The KFS continues to make the theatre a cultural venue.
