PM Carney meets with Dutch Princess Margriet – May 7, 2026

Prime Minister Mark Carney delivers brief remarks ahead of his meeting with Princess Margriet of the Netherlands, who is visiting Ottawa to meet with officials and open the Canadian Tulip Festival. The princess was born in Ottawa in 1943 while her family was taking refuge from the Second World War. Also present is the princess’ husband, Pieter van Vollenhoven.
