Statement from Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre on Easter

Ottawa, ON – The Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition and the Conservative Party of Canada, released the following statement on Easter:

“Today, Christians in Canada and around the world mark the central holiday of their faith. In churches and homes, quite literally from coast to coast to coast, they remember and celebrate Christ’s glorious resurrection.

“Easter has a special place in our common Canadian culture; its traditions and customs cherished by many of other faiths and of none.

“As church bells ring across our great land, we remember that freedom of worship and conscience are core Canadian values – and ones to be jealously guarded.

“On behalf of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition and the Conservative Party of Canada, I wish you all a very happy Easter!

“Christ is risen!”
