Ottawa, ON – The Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition and the Conservative Party of Canada, released the following statement on World Autism Awareness Day:

“Canada has come a long way in ensuring that people on the autism spectrum can make their mark on our society and communities. But there is still more to be done.

“Neurodivergent Canadians – our relatives, friends and colleagues – bring meaning to our lives. For some of us, that is especially true.

“Together, we must build a Canada that lives up to its promise: that anyone, from whatever background, should have the chance to contribute and succeed in the greatest country on earth.

“On World Autism Awareness Day, Conservatives – and all Canadians – should recommit to this noble goal.”
