Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston faces questions on budget cuts – February 24, 2026

Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston faces questions from reporters on his government’s newly released $17.35 billion budget for the 2026/27 fiscal year. The budget includes $304.9 million in cuts.

Also speaking at the news conference are leaders of the opposition Claudia Chender (NDP) and Iain Rankin (Liberal).
