Liberal MP Lisa Hepfner discusses “Keeping Children Safe Act” – January 28, 2026

Liberal MP Lisa Hepfner speaks with reporters in the House of Commons ahead of the second reading of her private member’s bill (C-223), which seeks to amend the Divorce Act with the goal of improving child safety.

She is joined by representatives of the National Association of Women and the Law, women’s advocacy groups, and survivors of domestic violence.
