Bianca Mugyenyi announces intention to run for NDP leadership – January 6, 2025

Bianca Mugyenyi, an activist and wife of former NDP leadership hopeful Yves Engler, holds the first news conference of her campaign for leadership of the federal party. Mugyenyi submitted paperwork to enter the race after Engler was barred from running over alleged harassment.

New Democrats will choose their new leader on March 29 at their annual convention in Winnipeg.
