Ottawa-Alberta MOU “Shouldn’t Exist at All”, Says Bloc Leader Yves-François Blanchet

The Bloc Québécois voted against the Conservative motion today asking MP’s to support the construction of an Alberta bitumen pipeline to the B.C. west coast and to support an “appropriate amendment” to allow oil tankers in the waters of British Columbia’s northern coast. Demands that are reflecting the Ottawa-Alberta MOU. Yves-François Blanchet, the Bloc leader, voted against the motion, saying it’s a trap, and added that the MOU “shouldn’t exist at all” because of the need for Canada to transition towards clean energy.
