MORE DETAILS

We are now accepting presentation proposals.

This colloquium is an opportunity to explore what it means to put people first in our teaching and learning practices.

We welcome presentations and posters that highlight approaches fostering care, connection and inclusion in classrooms, programs and communities.

Whether through course design, assessment practices, experiential learning, mentorship, technology use or community-engaged pedagogy we encourage faculty to share how they cultivate spaces of belonging that affirm and empower learners.

Some broad examples of questions this colloquium hopes to begin to answer include:

  • What does it mean to be a human-centered educator?
  • What strategies or tools help us achieve belonging and human-centered learning?
  • What can in-class case studies and practical learning experiences tell us about human centered learning?
