Inaugural Professorial Lecture – Dr. Salman Kimiagari: International Entrepreneurship

Members of the TRU and Kamloops communities are invited to an Inaugural Professorial Lecture by faculty member Dr. Salman Kimiagari.

On Thursday, Nov. 27, Salman will discuss how entrepreneurs today are thinking globally from the start — and what it takes to plan, predict and act effectively in an ever-changing international market.

Salman was promoted to professor in the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics in 2025.

An Inaugural Professorial Lecture (IPL) is given by tenured faculty who have recently been promoted to full professor as a way for universities to publicly celebrate this milestone event in the careers of academics.

Meet new professors and gain an understanding of their scholarship, research and teaching.

The IPLs are organized by TRU’s Professorial Lecture Committee, with generous support from the Office of the Provost and Vice-President Academic.
