Storm Overcome Heat In 4-2 Win

The Kamloops Storm scored 3 third period goals to overcome a 2-1 two period deficit and defeat a game Chase Heat team 4-2 in KIJHL action Friday night. Teghan Mullin tied the game early in the third period before setting up Nicklas Wytrychowski for the game winner. Mullin then set up Noah Paulsen’s empty net goal with a 1 second left in the game. Wytrychowskii also added an assist as did Paulsen while Nolan MacPherson got the games’ first goal in the first period. Chase goaltender Ryan Bain was outstanding stopping 29 or 32 shots fired his way. Josh Nuttall gets the win in net for Kamloops stopping 32 shots. Chase went 2 for 7 on the power play while Kamloops went 0 for 4. Kamloops sits atop the Doug Birks Division with a 14-4-1 record for 29 points.
