Storm Sweep River Rush With 8-3 Sunday Win

The Kamloops Storm scored a big 8-3 win over the Quesnel River Rush in KIJHL action Sunday afternoon to sweep the two game weekend set in Quesnel. Luca D’Amore had two goals to lead the way while Nick Clark had a goal and an assist to cap off a 5 point weekend for the rookie forward. Teghan Mullin, David Ander, Hayden Selin, Carson Werbowesky, and Hudson Clarke also scored for Kamloops. Noah Paulsen added two assists to his team leading points tally. The Storm had period leads of 1-0 and 4-1. Brenner Fyfe made 19 saves in getting the win in net. The Storm went 4 for 7 on the power play and killed 4 of 6 minor penalties. Kamloops sits in first place in the Doug Birks division with a 10-4-1 mark for 21 points.
