TRU’s Actors Workshop Theatre present The Laramie Project!

Dates:

  • Thursday, Feb. 26 – Saturday, Feb. 28
  • Thursday, March 5 – Saturday, March 7

Time: 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

 

Details

In 1998, a gay 21-year-old man was kidnapped, beaten and left tied to a fence outside Laramie, Wyoming.

He died several days later and his name was Matthew Shepard.

In the aftermath, members of the Tectonic Theater Project, conducted more than 200 interviews with the people of Laramie and from those interviews constructed this play.

Twenty-five years after the premiere, this play is still painfully relevant as it explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.
