L’incertitude plane toujours quant à la menace d’ajout de nouveaux droits de douane américains de 10%, après la diffusion d’une publicité anti-tarifs par l’Ontario aux États-Unis. Doug Ford s’est défendu hier d’en être responsable, tout en reprochant à Mark Carney de ne pas en faire assez pour défendre l’industrie automobile. Vincent Caron, vice-président aux politiques à la Chambre de commerce de l’Ontario, appuie les actions de Ford et discute des effets dévastateurs des tarifs avec Marc-André Cossette.
